How to join Adventure RP

To join the Adventure RP server, you will need to be playing on the Minecraft Forge client.

Before joining the server, read through the server and all race rules here: Server Rules

Installing and running the Forge client is easy, just follow these steps:

Download the Technic launcher from here:
http://www.technicpack.net/download
Launch the program and scroll down the left panel to select the add pack option.
In the space provided add the URL http://www.technicpack.net/api/modpack/claytonia-rpg and follow the prompts
Clicking play will start the download and setup of the pack. This will not affect your normal Minecraft

The server should show up in your servers list automatically, but if it doesn't you can add it manually with this address: 74.124.12.66

When you first log in, you will start in a short tutorial that ensures you have a basic understanding of the rules

NOTE: If you find that the game is lagging; then you can try installing Optifine. You can find a basic tutorial on installing Optifine here:

Hey, I don't think the modpack download is working on mac. When entering the url into technic it gives the error -

Thispackrequiresadirectoryoutsideof/users/Jessylibrary/Applicationsupport/technic

From what I have read on fourms its a problem not with the launcher but with how the modpack. I dont know, I'm not great at this stuff but Im guessing others with mac will have the same issue.

Actually, I've had that problem on several PC's too.

Only way I was able to get around it was make a folder in the Appdata/Roaming section (or wherever technic files are held on a mac XD) make a new folder next to the technic (I named it .claytonia) and save it there.

What's really weird is that it won't put any files in that folder at all, it'll save everything in the technic folder. You can even delete the .claytonia folder you made and it will work just fine.

Just try something like what Blaidrug says.
We actually had the same problem with creek I think when the server first came up, he just had to designate another spot to install the pack

Hey Guys, I just have a question about the pack (I plan on joining). Can you make it so optifine is automatically installed, or does optifine function differently?

Optifine can be installed manually, and causes problems for some players.

There's tutorials on google on how to install Optifine, but we won't be making it install automatically

Now I had issues with this... I followed all the steps as outlined but as soon as I hit play to get into the pack, it went into stages of verifying different things at which point it beeped at me, rebooted the program and i had to start again...
I can't even get into it to play it, whats happening?

That's a Java problem, I think. If you're running Java 8, it won't work. You'll have to uninstall Java and re-install an older version. Here's the link:

The problem is in the forge loader. I believe it had something to do with security updates? I'm not entirely positive, but his problem had me confuddled for a good deal of time before I could even play.

The problem is not forge loader, it's java not alloing modified java programs

If you want to stay on java 8, the last working version is java 8, update 11

Uninstall all versions of java and install that

For some reason when I go into my multiplayer, there is the server with correct IP, but it says I cannot reach the server, I would love to join in bc this sounds like a GREAT idea for a minecraft server, but I would like to connect to the actual server. I have installed the correct modpack, and reinstalled, help please?

No longer.

We would love to do it, but there's just not enough interest in it to keep it going unfortunately, sorry.

We do still have the multiworld server running, but it's not modded.
