Title: Tekkit problems!

Judging by the numerous computercraft errors, someone has a computercraft terminal running which is either incorrectly connected, or is over-connected..

a space station is loaded on the server all the time. is there a world anchor on a space station?

There is indeed. That would be SyblCorp Orbital Headquarters, which is where everything I have built/own is located.

Sybl, next time you are on can you remove the world anchor and then post back here
Title: Re: Tekkit problems!
Post by: Sybl on October 17, 2013, 05:36:24 AM
If I remove the world anchor I cannot generate power, get items sent to my storage from my quarry, etc. Nor can I use the /home command to get back there. Unless something about galacticraft is fundamentally bugged (which I doubt since it's one of the most advertised mods of the tekkit pack) then it should be no different than having a base in the nether, for instance.

Regardless, it would rule out a possible issue. If you can remain at the point where your anchor is when you remove it, then you don't need to /home to get back while we test

I mean sure, but keeping 9 chunks loaded shouldn't be the issue anywhere. In fact, since it's space and there's no blocks in space, technically it's got even less to keep loaded than if I had my base on the overworld, but whatever, if you guys want to test I can take the chunk loader down. Whenever the server is up I guess I can do that.

It could be a specific block, or area issue.

Toki and I determined that the problem, was not Myst, Dimensional Doors, or ComputerCraft. The problem is Open Peripheral. GalacticCraft has not caused any problems at all, and Sybl is correct when he points out that it probably causes less lag for him to have his base up there. I think we should put myst and dimensional doors back, and get rid of open peripheral.

it does seem wierd the server crashes everytime i use that mod so idk if it just pointed towards me or everyone in general

Snipe, please cease the use of Open Peripheral. If it crashes the server, don't use it.

Title: Re: Tekkit problems!
Post by: Tslat on October 17, 2013, 04:28:33 PM
So this confirms it's more than just open peripheral?
Title: Re: Tekkit problems!
Post by: SwordOfSkorm on October 17, 2013, 06:05:24 PM
honestly if its not my computer stuff then it must be where my quarry is at

What makes you assume it's your fault at all
Title: Re: Tekkit problems!
Post by: Zito on October 17, 2013, 06:52:22 PM
Snipe, I'm sure it is not just your fault. It has happened many times when you were not playing. Do not quit the server, please. Also, it may be more than just Open Peripheral, but we should start there and see what we can do.

I've managed to make it crash when it was just me on, with a fresh boot, when I hadn't moved from spawn.
Title: Re: Tekkit problems!
Post by: Zito on October 17, 2013, 08:36:48 PM
It's something someone else did, and is crashing it randomly...

Title: Re: Tekkit problems!

Sybl suggested the same thing in the other thread
Title: Re: Tekkit problems!
Post by: Zito on October 18, 2013, 10:51:30 AM
Ah, ok. You mean basically reset all the stuff about the server, so it works again?
Title: Re: Tekkit problems!
Post by: Clay on October 18, 2013, 01:37:02 PM
ok, im re-downloading the entire server. I will reset all plugins tonight after work. I say we give it a day then if the issue is not solved we reset the map as proposed in the tekkit poll.

If we end up nit going back to the old map , and u don't think we will , I will nake the old nake available for download.

If Tslat can fix the problem, I think we should make a new poll. Some players may want to keep the new map, rather than switch back.
